Podoped Hydrogel

Natural Regeneration for Necrotic and Poorly Cleansed Lesions of the Lower Limb
Podoped® Hydrogel with Ozoile® and Lactic Acid is a water-based medical device (80% water), indicated for skin lesions of the lower limbs, particularly when they are necrotic, poorly cleansed or covered in fibrin.
The gel formulation, with an acidic pH of 4.2, helps create a moist and controlled microenvironment, unfavorable to the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms. This environment promotes natural autolytic debridement processes, helping to soften and facilitate the removal of slough, exudates, and cellular debris, without the need for aggressive mechanical interventions.
The use of Podoped® Hydrogel can also be useful in the adjuvant treatment of localized conditions such as onychocryptosis, where it can contribute to easier cleansing of the nail fold and inflamed tissue.
By promoting cleansing of the wound bed and supporting the balance of the skin microenvironment, Podoped® Hydrogel represents a valid support in the management of slow-progressing wounds, helping to restore the conditions favorable to the formation of new vital tissue.

Mechanism of Action
Podoped® Hydrogel with Ozoile affects cellular redox balance, triggering a rapid antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerating cascade. The acidic pH of 4.2 creates an inhospitable microenvironment for microorganisms and facilitates autolytic debridement, promoting the natural removal of necrosis, slough, and exudate.
How to use
Remove the secondary dressing and thoroughly cleanse the wound with a suitable cleanser. Apply an even layer of Podoped® Hydrogel, sufficient to completely cover the wound.
Dressing Change: The frequency of dressing changes should be adapted to the level of wound exudation. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.
Treatment of Onychocryptosis: Apply Podoped® Hydrogel once a day for 3 days with a semi-occlusive dressing, as directed by your doctor.
