Rigenoma Alginate

Local treatment of acute and chronic lesions of different etiology, from moderately to highly exuding, superficial and cavitary
Rigenoma® Alginate is an advanced bioactive dressing, composed of Ozoile® and natural calcium alginate fibers. Designed for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds of different etiologies, characterized by moderate to high exudation, this product offers excellent exudate management and supports tissue regeneration. Its ability to form a gel on contact with exudate ensures optimal hydration of the wound, preventing dryness and promoting an environment favorable to healing.
Indications and Benefits of Rigenoma® Alginate
Rigenoma® Alginate is indicated for the treatment of moderately to highly exuding wounds, including:
- Pressure ulcers (bedsores)
- Vascular ulcers (venous, arterial and mixed)
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Post-traumatic and post-surgical wounds
- Oncological and post-radiotherapy lesions
- Superficial and deep burns
- Infected wounds under medical supervision
Advantages:
- Optimal Exudate Management: Alginate effectively absorbs fluids, transforming into a gel that protects newly formed tissue.
- Protective Environment:
Creates a moist microenvironment that promotes healing and prevents microbial growth. - Antiseptic Action:
Thanks to Ozoile®, it reduces the risk of bacterial and fungal infections. - Non-Adherent: Removal is painless, preventing trauma to healing tissue.
- Adaptability: Can be cut and shaped to fit injuries of any shape and size.
Mechanism of Action
Rigenoma® Alginate with Ozoile® acts on the cellular redox balance, counteracting oxidative stress and promoting tissue regeneration. Calcium alginate, in contact with the exudate, forms a bioactive gel that maintains optimal hydration of the lesion, promoting cell proliferation and the formation of granulation tissue. Ozoile® exerts an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial action, reducing the risk of infections and creating an ideal environment for healing.
How to use
Clean the lesion thoroughly with an appropriate solution and gently dry the edges with Rigenoma® Gauze (or other sterile gauze).
Place Rigenoma®Alginate directly on the
wound bed:
- On flat lesions , avoid excessively overlapping the edges of the dressing.
- On cavity lesions , fill the cavity
without compressing excessively, allowing the dressing to adapt to the walls thanks to the formation of gel.
Protect with a non-adherent secondary dressing, such as Rigenoma® Gauze, and secure with a containment bandage.
Change the dressing 2-3 times a week, depending on the amount of exudate and the saturation of the gel.
